I had this dream that I’d met up with two old friends maybe from my late teens, early twenties, called Dave and Andy and they’re not real. They’re not real friends. They’re sort of...they were both Welsh. Basically, they’re not real people. And so we met up in this cave and we’re all lying on the floor of this cave and talking about old times and we got to talking about cutting hair somehow. And I went downstairs to my reflection in the mirror and my, I’d shaved off my, well my beard was gone. I still had, like, a hairy neck but I’d shaved off my beard in the night or it had vanished. And I said to my Dad, “Dad, did you shave off my beard in the night?” and he said, “no, of course not”, and I said to my sister, “did you?” She said, “of course not”. And then I asked my mum and she said she’d seen me shaving it off in my sleep in the night and that she’d questioned me about it and I’d said that Dave and Andy had paid for me to have one of those, like, wet shaves at the barber. Yeah, so I went to sleep with a beard and I woke up without one. Then, I woke up again, still with my beard, at home in bed.

I’ve had this recurring dream for a while where, I’ve either been renting or owned a house that’s on several storeys and the, the basement’s been made into a basement flat and I’ve been living down there and er, I’ve left it in a state of untidiness and disrepair. And usually it’s, it’s actually, in my dream it’s often very similar to the downstairs of my grandmother’s house. I’ve just left loads of washing up and lots of dirty things lying around. And I've moved into the flat above it and I never go down into it to clear up because the dirtiness is...it’s too intimidating and it’s horrible. I don’t feel that I’ll ever be able to go down there and clear it up because it’s just too manky. So effectively I've lost the basement flat. Which, well, obviously makes me feel very foolish to lose a flat just for the sake of some dirty washing up.
